I built BuildaDraft out of frustration. Over the years, I've watched talented builders — contractors, homeowners, landowners — lose deals and waste countless hours doing estimating work that a well-designed tool could handle in minutes.
The problem wasn't that contractors weren't smart enough or fast enough. The tools available to them were either too simple (spreadsheets) or too complex (enterprise software built for Fortune 500 companies, not one-person crews). There was no middle ground.
So I decided to build it. BuildaDraft started as a side project—a tool designed with real builders in mind. Not for what software companies thought people needed, but for what they actually told me they needed. Speed. Accuracy. Simplicity.
